ADC Candidate Accuses Politicians of Election Manipulation

Gabriel Baritulem Pidomson, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Rivers State, accused influential politicians in the state of conspiring to manipulate the outcome of the February 2027 governorship election. In a statement shared on his official X handle on Tuesday, Pidomson alleged that a grassroots mobilization group he referred to as “Rainbow Confusion” is planning to hijack election materials and falsify results during the polls.

He linked this group to the Rainbow Coalition associated with Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, claiming that they are not committed to ensuring a free and fair election. Pidomson stated, “The Rainbow Confusion and their allies are not planning a free and fair election in 2027,” and accused them of using money and food to influence voters, thereby keeping them dependent on their political structure.

He urged citizens to unite against these tactics to reclaim their freedom.
