Akpabio Urges Muslims to Pray for Peace During Ramadan

Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Nigerian Senate, has called on Muslims to pray for peace and to practice compassion during the holy month of Ramadan. In a goodwill message issued on Tuesday night, Akpabio encouraged the Muslim community to use this period for spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and renewal.

He highlighted the significance of Ramadan as a time to strengthen faith and promote peace and understanding among people of various religions. Akpabio extended warm greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and around the world, wishing them a blessed Ramadan filled with peace and prosperity.

His message came shortly after Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto, announced the commencement of Ramadan on Wednesday. Akpabio's statement was also supported by Esem Eyiboh, his special adviser on media and public affairs.
