Leaders Urge Peace and Generosity for Eid-el-Fitr

In a message marking Eid-el-Fitr, Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate, congratulated Muslims in Nigeria on the successful completion of Ramadan. He urged them to embody the values of compassion, forgiveness, and unity, and to extend generosity, particularly towards the less privileged.

Akpabio also extended his wishes for peace and progress to President Bola Tinubu and all Muslim Nigerians. Bola Oyebamiji, the APC candidate for the 2026 Osun State governorship election, commended the spiritual devotion and sacrifices made during Ramadan, encouraging residents to uphold values of patience and discipline in their daily lives.

He highlighted the need for visionary leadership to drive economic growth and social infrastructure improvements. Ajibola Basiru, the APC National Secretary, called on Muslims to maintain the spirit of discipline and charity beyond Ramadan, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to tackle national concerns such as insecurity and economic reform under President Tinubu's administration.
