Kaduna Governor Urges Islamic Clerics on Responsible Preaching During Ramadan

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani called on Islamic clerics to ensure responsible preaching and promote peaceful coexistence during Ramadan. At the 2026 annual pre-Ramadan meeting organized by Jama'atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Governor Sani stressed the importance of promoting unity, peace, social justice, and care for vulnerable members of society.

He highlighted the significance of the holy month for mercy, discipline, and national healing. The governor urged media organizations to uphold professional standards in transmitting religious content to avoid incitement and division.

Sani's administration also focuses on interfaith initiatives to sustain peace and understanding among people of different religious beliefs. The meeting, chaired by the Shehu of Borno, Dr. Abubakar Kyari El-Kanemi, discussed responsible preaching, religious harmony, and peace preservation beyond Ramadan.

Attendees included Muslim traditional rulers, Islamic clerics, and scholars from across the country.
