Chief Imam of Jos Calls for Peace During Ramadan

On Tuesday, Sheikh Ghazali Ismail Adam, the Chief Imam of Jos, called on Muslims across Plateau State to embrace peace and tolerance in anticipation of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan. He highlighted the significance of this period as a time for fasting, reflection, sacrifice, and charity, urging the Muslim community to renew their devotion to Almighty Allah.

Sheikh Ghazali emphasized that Ramadan should nurture self-discipline and strengthen faith, promoting peace and coexistence within society. He advised Islamic clerics to strictly adhere to Islamic doctrines and to preach peace during this month, while also calling for a respectful approach in religious gatherings.

The Chief Imam specifically admonished fellow preachers to avoid inflammatory remarks and to maintain high standards of decorum in their sermons throughout Plateau State.
