Rangers, Rivers United NPFL Title Race to Final Day

In the ongoing NPFL title race, Rangers secured a crucial 2-1 victory against Bendel Insurance, with Godwin Obaj scoring the opening goal in the 15th minute. Alex Oweilayefi equalized for Bendel Insurance in the 39th minute, but Rangers found the winner through a goal in the 65th minute.

This victory allowed Rangers to maintain a one-point lead over Rivers United, who also had a thrilling match against Wikki Tourist, winning 3-2. Jonathan Mairiga put Wikki ahead in the 21st minute, but Rivers United equalized through Handsom Surveyor in the 35th minute.

Wikki regained the lead shortly after halftime, but Rivers United responded with two late goals to clinch the victory. The title race will be decided on the final day of the season at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

Other matches included 3SC's 1-0 win over Barau FC, and Remo Stars defeating Bayelsa United 2-1.
