RCDI Reports Progress in Water and Menstrual Health Initiatives

The Resource Conservation Development Initiative (RCDI) released a report in June 2026 detailing its activities from January to June 2026, focusing on improving access to safe water, sanitation, menstrual health, and climate resilience in underserved communities across Nigeria. Key interventions included the rehabilitation of boreholes in the Bonugu community of Kwali Area Council, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), which restored reliable water access.

RCDI also distributed water treatment solutions and conducted hygiene awareness campaigns to reduce waterborne diseases. On World Water Day, RCDI participated in a public sensitization campaign led by the Federal Ministry of Water Resources.

Additionally, RCDI commemorated Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 with its ThriveFlow 2026 outreach program, providing menstrual hygiene kits and promoting menstrual dignity among women and adolescent girls. The organization collaborated with various stakeholders, including RUWASSA and the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, to enhance menstrual health advocacy and support community-led sanitation initiatives.
