Real Betis Shocks Real Madrid; PSG Falls to AS Monaco
Real Betis achieved a surprising 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in La Liga, with Troy Parrott scoring the decisive goal in the 81st minute after coming on as a substitute. Real Madrid, who had several missed opportunities, saw a goal by Carlos Espi disallowed for offside just before the end of normal time.
Kylian Mbappe notably missed a penalty in added time, marking Madrid's first league defeat of the season in week four and extending their winless streak at Real Betis to four matches. In a separate Ligue 1 match, Paris Saint-Germain suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to AS Monaco.
Marquinhos opened the scoring for PSG, but Monaco equalized through Nazinho and secured the win with a goal from Stanis Idumbo. This loss left PSG winless and marked their worst start to a season in the modern era.
