Real Madrid Signs Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan

Real Madrid has officially signed Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan for a transfer fee of €20 million, which could rise to €23 million with performance-related bonuses. The agreement allows Dumfries to join Real Madrid for the next four seasons, until June 30, 2030.

The 30-year-old right-back has previously played for the Netherlands in the World Cup, reaching the elimination round of 32 against Morocco. His addition is expected to bolster Real Madrid's right-back position, complementing England international Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Dumfries joined Inter Milan from PSV Eindhoven in 2021, where he won two Serie A titles and finished as a runner-up in the UEFA Champions League. This signing is part of a broader squad overhaul by Real Madrid, which has seen them hire Portuguese veteran José Mourinho as coach, replacing Álvaro Arbeloa, and renewing Antonio Rüdiger's contract until 2027.
