UBS Reports Record New Millionaires in 2025

UBS reported that in 2025, nearly one million people worldwide became U.S. dollar millionaires, averaging about 2,600 individuals daily. The United States contributed almost half of this increase, with 440,000 new millionaires.

Other countries like China, Japan, Germany, Britain, and France also saw significant increases in millionaire counts. The total number of millionaires reached two million globally.

The report indicated that global personal wealth rose by 10.8% in dollar terms, significantly outpacing growth in previous years (4.6% in 2024 and 4.2% in 2023). The strongest growth was observed in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at 17.5%, while the Asia-Pacific region recorded a growth of 5.9%.

The report highlighted that 42% of the world’s population has assets worth less than $10,000, while 15.3% have net assets worth over $1 million. The report also noted that property values significantly contribute to individuals reaching millionaire status.
