Isack Hadjar to Stay with Red Bull for 2027 Season

Isack Hadjar, a 21-year-old French driver, will continue with Red Bull as Max Verstappen's teammate for the 2027 season. Hadjar was promoted to the senior team this season after a rookie year with Racing Bulls and has demonstrated competitive pace, being closer to Verstappen than any teammate since Daniel Ricciardo in 2018.
His best result this season was a third-place finish at the Monaco Grand Prix. Red Bull team principal Laurent Mekies stated that retaining Hadjar was an "easy decision," praising his performance on and off the track.
Hadjar, who recently returned from a broken wrist sustained during training, expressed his excitement about driving for Red Bull and learning from Verstappen. Over the first half of the season, Hadjar averaged 0.239 seconds slower than Verstappen in qualifying but managed to out-qualify him three times.
Verstappen signed a two-year contract extension in August, now running until the end of 2030.
