Remi Tinubu Launches Community Food Bank in Borno

On a recent visit to Borno, Remi Tinubu unveiled the Community Food Bank initiative, aimed at addressing malnutrition and food insecurity in the region. The program, which will benefit vulnerable children and pregnant or lactating mothers, is supported by a N500 million trust fund contributed by Governor Babagana Umara Zulum.

During the event, Remi Tinubu emphasized the importance of improving access to nutritious food, particularly for women and children, and encouraged other governors' wives to contribute to the trust fund. She acknowledged the recent approval of N68 billion by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for operational support of the Maiduguri power plant to ensure stable electricity supply in Borno.

Additionally, Remi Tinubu flagged off the distribution of sewing machines and grants to 2,000 vulnerable women and commissioned the newly constructed Abbaganaram ultramodern junior secondary school in Maiduguri, highlighting the government's commitment to education and women's empowerment.
