Oyekunle Concludes Applications for One-Day Rep Programme

Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, the lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has officially closed applications for the One-Day Representative Programme. This initiative, which opened a month prior, targets eligible indigenes of the constituency who are over 25 years old and registered voters.

Akinwale Bodija, the lawmaker’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, announced that the closure marks the beginning of the screening and selection phase. The programme aims to enhance civic awareness and provide constituents with a practical understanding of legislative responsibilities.

The overall winner will receive a cash prize of N1 million, with the first and second runners-up receiving N500,000 and N250,000, respectively. The winner will also enjoy a fully sponsored trip to the National Assembly Complex in Abuja to observe legislative proceedings and experience the legislative environment.

Bodija emphasized the importance of civic engagement and exposure in the initiative, which will also allow young constituents to gain firsthand knowledge of the legislative process.
