Oyo Tops 2025 State Performance Index as Best State to Live in Nigeria

Oyo State has been rated as the best state to live in Nigeria according to the 2025 State Performance Index (SPI) report. The report measures relocation preferences and perceptions across the country, placing Oyo ahead of Akwa Ibom and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

On the other hand, Zamfara, Anambra, and Bayelsa were listed among the least preferred states due to insecurity and developmental challenges. The report emphasizes the importance of infrastructure, safety, and urban amenities in shaping public perception of the quality of life in Nigerian states.

Oyo's strong governance and improved amenities continue to attract relocation interest, while states facing instability tend to have higher rejection rates.
