Tinubu, Security Chiefs Commended for Oyo Rescue Success

Philip Agbesundai, the deputy spokesman for the House of Representatives, praised President Bola Tinubu and the nation's security chiefs for the successful rescue of pupils and a teacher abducted from a school in Oriir Local Government Area, Oyo State. He described the operation as a significant breakthrough in the fight against insecurity.

Agbesundai noted that the success of the rescue operation restored public confidence in Nigeria's security architecture and demonstrated the resolve of security agencies to confront terrorist and criminal groups. He congratulated Tinubu, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and Chief of Defence Staff Gen.

Christoph Musa for their roles in the operation. The operation, which lasted 56 days, culminated in the safe return of the victims, with Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde visiting them at the Nigerian Army's Odogbo Barrack in Ibadan.

The governor expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives during the abduction and assured that their sacrifices were not in vain.
