Oyo Kidnap Victims' Rescue Boosts Public Hope, Says Aremu

Issa Aremu, Director of the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies, expressed renewed hope among the public following the successful rescue of pupils and staff abducted from a school in Orir Local Government Area, Oyo State. In a statement made available in Abuja on Monday, Aremu congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and described the operation as significant, demonstrating the growing capacity and determination of Nigeria's security forces.

He emphasized the need for ongoing efforts to eliminate kidnapping, terrorism, and violent crime across the country. Aremu expressed profound sympathy for the families of victims who suffered from brutal murders during the unfortunate incidents, highlighting the pain of tragic losses.

He urged Nigerian political leadership to improve intelligence, adequately fund security personnel, and encourage citizens to support security agencies, who risk their lives daily to defend the nation.
