Oyo Kidnap Victims Reunite with Families After Rescue

Victims of a kidnapping incident in Oyo State were reunited with their families after spending 56 days in captivity. The operation, which was successful due to intelligence-led efforts by security agencies, resulted in the safe return of the abducted pupils and teachers.

The reunion, marked by emotional scenes, took place at the Oyo State Governor's House in Ibadan, where Governor Seyi Makinde spoke about the ordeal. Mr. Rachael Alamu, a principal at the affected school, recounted the tragic loss of two teachers during the abduction.

The victims endured harsh conditions in the open forest, and upon their rescue, they received medical treatment and psychosocial support. President Bola Tinubu and Governor Makinde expressed gratitude for the successful operation, emphasizing the importance of community support and prayers during the ordeal.

The families celebrated the return of their loved ones, reflecting on the emotional toll of the kidnapping.
