Rescued Victims Petition Against Tukur Mamu for Alleged Terrorism in Ongoing Trial

In a legal proceeding at the Federal High Court in Abuja, victims rescued from the 2022 Abuja-Kaduna train attack have lodged a written complaint with the Department of State Services (DSS) against Tukur Mamu for alleged terrorism. The DSS witness, identified as PW 6, disclosed this during Mamu's ongoing terror trial.

The witness confirmed that several victims, including the wife of a commandant in Jaji, submitted complaints against Mamu. The defense counsel, Johnson Usman, argued for the protection of the victims' identities.

The witness clarified that no interviews were conducted in Mamu's presence, and key figures like General Lucky Irabor and Sheikh Ahmad Gumi were interviewed during the investigation. The prosecution intends to close its case to allow the defense to open its defense, while the defense has not filed a "no case" submission.

The trial is adjourned until April 23 for further proceedings.
