Nigerian Resident Doctors Commence Warning Strike for Better Welfare

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) initiated a five-day warning strike to demand improved welfare and working conditions following the expiration of the Federal Government's ultimatum. The strike, affecting hospitals nationwide, aims to address issues such as unpaid allowances and salary arrears.

The decision was communicated to members by Dr. Oluwasola Odunbaku, with the strike scheduled to last from Friday to Tuesday.
