Residents Urge Governor Aiyedatiwa to Revive Projects

Residents of Yaba Community in the Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State have made a formal appeal to Governor Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa to intervene and revive several abandoned projects. These projects, which include the World Bank-supported Ondo State Rural Access Agricultural Market Project, were initially flagged off in 2024 but were later abandoned due to disputes with contractors.

Key projects mentioned include the Odod Bajar Road and Ojota Ala Road, which have become impassable, significantly affecting the movement of people and goods. The community's petition, signed by local leaders including Chief Adegok Boluwaji and Fola Adegh, highlights the urgent need for the governor to assess the situation and resolve the contractor disputes.

Mr. Allen Sowor, a special advisor to the governor, assured that no project in the state would be abandoned and that complaints would be addressed promptly. The community hopes for a swift resolution to restore progress and improve their livelihoods.
