Abandoned Baby Boy Found Alive in Kwara State

Residents of Omupo in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Kwara State, found an abandoned baby boy along a farm road shortly after his birth. Passersby alerted the community, leading to the infant being taken to Omupo Cottage Hospital.

Dr. Ismail Bakar, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, confirmed that the baby was brought in alive and is currently under medical observation.

Although the infant is stable and responding to treatment, he requires sustained medical care and proper nutrition to aid his recovery and development over the coming weeks. The incident has sparked concern among local residents, who described the abandonment as heartbreaking.

They expressed gratitude that the child was found alive and appealed to government agencies, humanitarian organizations, and corporate bodies for support in providing necessary supplies for the child's welfare. As of the time of the report, the Kwara State Police Command had not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
