Oyo Security Forces Rescue Kidnapped Pupils and Teachers

A meticulously planned joint security operation led by Major General C.R. Nnebeif of the Nigerian Army's 2 Division successfully rescued kidnapped pupils and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State.

The operation, disclosed on a Friday night, involved personnel from various security agencies, including the Nigerian Navy, Nigerian Air Force, Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services, National Intelligence Agency, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, among others. The operation focused on identifying and dismantling the terrorist network responsible for the abduction, leading to multiple arrests and the eventual unconditional release of the victims.

Despite sustaining casualties during the operation, the rescued individuals are currently receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital. The operation received strategic support from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and was commended by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for the continuous cooperation with security agencies.
