Nyameh Demands Transparency in Government Borrowing

Professor Jerome Nyameh, the governorship candidate for the Accord Party in Taraba State, has urged the government to provide clear explanations to Nigerians about its borrowing activities. Speaking in Jalingo on Friday, Nyameh stressed the importance of transparency in the loan acquisition process, asserting that citizens have the right to understand the reasons behind borrowing funds and how these funds will be utilized to improve their lives.

He argued that the government should ensure that every stage of the borrowing process adheres to transparency and integrity. Nyameh cautioned against obtaining loans for projects that lack clear objectives and economic value, describing such practices as detrimental to sustainable development.

He emphasized the need for prudent financial management to build a stable economy and restore public confidence in government accountability regarding public spending.
