Abuja Residents Face Severe Water Scarcity Crisis

Residents in various areas of Abuja are currently experiencing a severe water scarcity that has persisted for almost a week. Reports indicate that some neighborhoods have had little to no water supply, forcing residents to rely on unsafe water sources to meet their daily needs.

A resident named Godswil highlighted that the situation has been dire, with no water seen since last Thursday. Victoria Odumu, another resident, expressed disappointment over the water supply issues, which she believes are connected to the major water supply source, the Usuma Dam.

Despite earlier assurances from authorities that work would resume on Monday to restore water supply, residents reported no improvements by Tuesday. The exact cause of the prolonged water shortage remains unclear, and residents are calling on the authorities to urgently address the situation.
