Kenya to Co-Host 2027 AFCON with Tanzania and Uganda

Kenya has been officially announced as a co-host for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), alongside Tanzania and Uganda, marking a significant milestone as the first time the tournament will be jointly hosted by three East African nations. The primary venues selected for the tournament include the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani, which has a capacity of 60,000 spectators, and the Nyayo National Stadium, which can accommodate 48,000 spectators.

Additionally, several alternative venues have been confirmed, including Ulinzi Sports Complex, Police Sacco Ground, and various facilities at the Kenya Academy Sports Ground and Talanta Sports City Stadium. The announcement also included plans for training grounds that will be utilized by participating teams during the championship.

This initiative is part of the "Pamoja 2027" project aimed at showcasing football in the East African region.
