Video Evidence Unveils Alleged Coup Plot Against Tinubu

During a court session on Monday at the Federal High Court in Abuja, video evidence was presented that allegedly shows a plot to overthrow President Bola Tinubu's administration. The prosecution outlined the roles of several defendants, including retired Major General Moham Ibrahim Gana and retired Naval Captain Erasmus Ochegobia Victor, in the conspiracy.

The trial involves high-ranking retired military officers accused of masterminding a coup for 2025. Gana, who retired in 2010, claimed to have received old coup speeches and forwarded them without intent to incite rebellion, while Victor admitted to knowing about the plot.

The court proceedings included challenges regarding the admissibility of the video evidence, with Justice Joyc Abdulmalik dismissing initial objections. The trial has been adjourned until Tuesday for further hearings, with charges including treason and terrorism against the defendants.
