Defendants Admit Knowledge of Alleged Coup Plot Against Tinubu

During a court session at the Federal High Court in Abuja, retired Navy Captain Erasmu Victor and Police Inspector Ahm Ibrahim admitted to having knowledge of an alleged coup plot against President Tinubu. The defendants confessed during a video-recorded investigative interview.

Retired Major General Moham Gana, the third defendant, denied knowledge of the coup plan. The court reviewed video evidence and statements made by the defendants, with Joyc Abdulmalik presiding over the proceedings.

Gana acknowledged being aware of the alleged mastermind, Colonel M. Ma Aji, and admitted to sharing coup-related materials via WhatsApp.

Victor confirmed discussions about overthrowing the government but advised against it. Ibrahim admitted to receiving between 1.4 million and 1.5 million naira for reconnaissance around the Presidential Villa.

The case was adjourned until Tuesday at 11 am for further hearings.
