Uba Sani Receives 2026 Nation Leadership Award in Abuja

Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, was honored with the prestigious 2026 Nation Leadership Award during a ceremony held at the Merit House in Abuja. This award recognizes his impactful leadership and commitment to restoring security and social cohesion in Kaduna since he assumed office in May 2023.

Chief B.J. Opara, the team lead of the Nation Leadership Summit Group, praised Governor Sani's stewardship, highlighting his courage and the tangible developments achieved under his administration.

The award symbolizes a significant turnaround in Kaduna's security situation, which had been plagued by banditry and kidnappings. Governor Sani's administration adopted a holistic peace model, emphasizing dialogue and community-driven intelligence to combat insecurity.

His efforts have led to the recruitment and training of 7,000 personnel for the Kaduna Vigil Service and the establishment of a collaborative framework with federal security agencies, resulting in a drastic reduction in incidents of banditry and the restoration of public confidence.
