Rhodes-Vivour Requests Time to Join Peter Obi in NDC

Rhodes-Vivour, a former governorship candidate for the Labour Party in Lagos State, has made an appeal for time to consider a potential alignment with Peter Obi in the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). This request comes amid criticism regarding his decision to remain with the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a post on Friday, Rhodes-Vivour responded to concerns about his support for the Obi movement, acknowledging the frustrations surrounding ongoing political realignments. He praised Obi's role during the 2023 elections and urged patience regarding political decisions.

Rhodes-Vivour compared his current situation to the controversial exits from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP) during the 2023 elections. He assured that his political relationship with the Obi movement remains strong as they look towards the 2027 elections.

Additionally, he warned that remaining with the ADC could weaken his political chances, suggesting that former Lagos governorship candidate Funso Doherty might become a preferred choice for the NDC governorship ticket.
