ADC Denies Imposition Claims in Rivers State Gubernatorial Race

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State, under the leadership of Dr. Chukwudi Dimkpa, has refuted allegations of imposition regarding its governorship candidate for the 2027 elections.

The claims were made by Allen Ezekiel Hart, who suggested that the primary held on May 24, 2026, was manipulated to favor certain individuals. Dr.

Dimkpa warned against invoking the name of former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to bolster grievances within the party. He stated that the ADC is committed to a transparent and fair process, adhering strictly to its constitution and electoral guidelines.

Dr. Dimkpa confirmed that all aspirants were duly informed of the procedures leading to the primary and that Dr.

Gabriel Baritulem Pidomson emerged as the candidate with overwhelming support from delegates across the 23 local government areas of Rivers State. He urged party members and the public to disregard statements that could create unnecessary tension and division within the party.
