The Rivers State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), represented by Chairman Chukwudi Dimkpa, countered comments made by Nyesom Wike concerning the 2027 governorship election. Speaking in Port Harcourt on Friday, Dimkpa highlighted the ADC's commitment to a transparent and inclusive electoral process.

He noted that the party aims to build a broad-based political movement that reflects the interests of Rivers residents, particularly in the riverine and upland communities.
