Rivers: ADC records over 800,000 members, welcomes two ex-govs, Secondus, other bigwigs

The Rivers State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced a significant increase in its membership, with over 800,000 members joining the party. Luckyman Egila, the party's spokesperson, revealed at a press conference in Port Harcourt that prominent politicians, including two former governors and a federal lawmaker, have recently joined the ADC.

Among the new members are Rotimi Amaechi and Celestine Omehia, both former governors, as well as Prince Uche Secondus, the former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Egila emphasized that these individuals have officially left their former parties to become full members of the ADC, with membership cards issued to them.

The party is positioning itself as a strong contender in the upcoming 2023 elections in Rivers State, with key political figures now part of its ranks.
