Rivers Assembly Raises Alarm Over Alleged Plot to Obtain Court Orders Outside Port Harcourt

The Rivers Assembly has raised concerns about an alleged scheme by certain individuals to obtain court orders outside Port Harcourt to impede the impeachment process against Governor Sim Fubara. The Assembly received credible intelligence indicating a plan to use the River State High Court, especially outside Port Harcourt, to issue ex parte orders illegally halting the Assembly's constitutional duties.

The Assembly has urged restraint and adherence to the rule of law. Speaker Enemi Alabo George signed the statement, warning against subverting the law through proxy actions.
