Fubara Urges NYSC Corps Members to Uphold Integrity

On Thursday, during the swearing-in ceremony for the 2026 Batch B Stream II orientation course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Nonwa-Gbam, Tai Local Government Area, Rivers State Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara reiterated his administration's commitment to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme. Represented by Dr Promise Oguzie, the Permanent Secretary of the Cabinet Bureau, Fubara urged the corps members to exhibit exemplary conduct, discipline, and dedication while serving the people of Rivers State and Nigeria.

He encouraged them to take full advantage of camp programs to enrich themselves. Rivers State NYSC Coordinator Mr Moses Oleghe welcomed the corps members, emphasizing their opportunity to contribute to the state's development.

He urged them to serve with integrity, especially as they may be called upon as ad hoc staff for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the 2027 general elections. A total of 3,584 corps members, including 1,421 males and 2,163 females, were sworn in by the Chief Judge of Rivers State, represented by Justice Godspower Aguma.
