Rivers State Awards N20 Million to 10 NYSC Members

The Rivers State government, led by Governor Siminalayi Fubara, rewarded ten members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) with a total of N20 million for their exemplary service. The announcement was made on Thursday at the State Government Secretariat in Port Harcourt, during a ceremony attended by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr.

Dagogo Wokoma. The beneficiaries, who were recognized as worthy ambassadors of Rivers State, included Nwile Promis, Nwakoo Bariagara, Chika Michel, Samyaaloh Lekia, Chuku Diana, Okulu Sarah, Nwaubochi Godswil, Wori Preciou, Paola Bob Yellow, and Gideon Nwaokugha.

Governor Fubara reiterated his administration's commitment to human capital development and the promotion of excellence across various sectors. He encouraged the awardees to continue upholding the values of discipline and selfless service.

Mr. Mose Olegh, the NYSC Coordinator in Rivers State, expressed gratitude for the governor's gesture, stating it would motivate corps members to strive for excellence.
