Jumbo Appears Before APC Screening Committee in Rivers

Victor Jumbo, a former faction speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly and ally of Governor Sim Fubara, appeared before the screening committee of the Progressive Congress (APC) to appeal his disqualification. The screening committee, chaired by Abdul Mahmud, confirmed that 64 other aspirants were disqualified from the process.

The screening exercise took place on a Saturday, with no fewer than 33 aspirants participating. The committee disclosed that a final list of cleared aspirants would be released after the appeal period elapses.
