APC Confirms Disqualification of Fubara-Linked Aspirants

The Rivers State Progress Congress of the APC confirmed the disqualification of Assembly aspirants associated with the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara. During a screening exercise held on Saturday, 33 aspirants participated, but 65 were disqualified, identified as loyalists of Fubara.

Abdul Mahmud, the chairman of the appeal committee, addressed journalists on Tuesday, stating that 19 appeals had been submitted against the disqualifications. The committee indicated that the submission period for appeals would end on Wednesday, and a final list of cleared aspirants would be released once the appeal period concludes.
