Rivers NDC Candidate Desmond Stephen Joins ADP for 2027

Hon. Desmond Sunday Stephen, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) House of Assembly candidate for Okrika Constituency in Rivers State, has officially resigned from the NDC and joined the Action Democratic Party (ADP). His resignation, confirmed through a letter dated May 25, 2026, comes as political activities intensify in Rivers State ahead of the 2027 elections.

Stephen expressed gratitude to the NDC leadership and members for the opportunities he received during his tenure. He stated that his decision was made after careful consideration of his political future and a desire to continue serving the people of Okrika.
