Sokonte Davies Resigns from ADC Over Political Concerns

Sokonte Davies, a former member of the House of Representatives and a prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State, officially resigned from the party on August 12. In his resignation letter addressed to the Ward Chairman of ADC, Ward 10, Tombia, Degema Local Government Area, Davies expressed his concerns regarding the party's direction, internal processes, and broader political trajectory.

He stated that his decision followed a period of sober reflection on his political journey and principles guiding his public engagement. Davies, who previously served as the National Secretary of the ADC Membership Revalidation, Mobilisation and Registration Committee, emphasized that his resignation was a personal and deliberate choice, not motivated by bitterness towards any individual or member of the party.

He requested that the party update its records to reflect his resignation and expressed gratitude for the opportunities and relationships he gained during his membership. Davies reaffirmed his commitment to the pursuit of a better Nigeria and the advancement of democratic values and good governance.
