RMAFC Staff Trained on Integrity and Accountability

Muhammed Bello-Shehu, the chairman of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), warned staff against abuse of office and process manipulation during the opening of a five-day training in Kaduna. The training, organized by the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU), focused on revenue integrity, institutional accountability, anti-corruption practices, and effective internal controls.

Bello-Shehu, represented by Ismail Mohammed-Agaka, the Federal Commissioner for Kwara State, stressed the need for RMAFC staff to uphold integrity in their duties, stating that corruption extends beyond bribery to include procedural violations and abuse of authority. He urged participants to apply the knowledge gained from the training to enhance accountability and transparency.

Dr Idris Yusuf Musa, the Director of Audit and Chairman of ACTU, reiterated the importance of justifying public trust and avoiding practices that undermine due process. Participants, including Nabila Abubakar and Aminu Ibrahim Imam, expressed that the training improved their understanding of integrity and accountability in public service.
