RMAFC Urges New Staff to Uphold Integrity and Transparency

The Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has instructed its newly recruited employees to prioritize integrity, transparency, and due process in their work. This directive was issued at the conclusion of a five-day sensitisation and capacity-building workshop organized by the Commission’s Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) for new staff from the North Central Geopolitical Zone and the headquarters in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
RMAFC is constitutionally tasked with monitoring accruals into and disbursements from the Federation Account. Dr Mohammed Bello Shehu, the RMAFC chairman, represented by Hon. Ismaila Muhammad Agaka, emphasized that ethical conduct is crucial for the Commission’s oversight of national revenue.
He urged participants to embody the lessons learned and act as "ambassadors of integrity." Hon. Abdulkadir Al-Makura stressed that integrity should extend beyond official duties, advocating for honesty and accountability in all aspects of life. Participants expressed that the training reshaped their understanding of acceptable practices in public service.
