Oyo State Political Tension Over Impeachment Allegations

A political controversy has erupted in Oyo State over allegations of a plot to unseat Governor Seyi Makinde and remove Olubadan Rashidi Ladoja. Former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose accused Makinde of masterminding this plan, which is linked to the recent Ibadan obaship crisis.

Former First Lady of Oyo State, Florence Ajimobi, has denied any involvement in the alleged plot, describing the claims as false and misleading.

Oyo State House of Assembly Speaker Adebo Ogundoyin confirmed that he has not received any monetary inducements related to the impeachment claims, asserting his loyalty to Governor Makinde.
