The Alaafin stated that the Ooni does not have the exclusive right to confer titles beyond his local government area, challenging his authority.

He emphasized that the Ooni's power is limited to his jurisdiction and does not extend across Yorubaland. The businessman who received the title, Okanlomo Yorubaland, was urged to return it within the given timeframe.

Failure to comply would result in consequences. The Alaafin stressed the importance of peace and unity in the region for meaningful development.
