Egypt Celebrates First World Cup Win Against New Zealand

Egypt achieved its first World Cup victory, ending a 92-year wait, by defeating New Zealand 3-0. The match took place during the World Cup, where team captain Mohamed Salah, along with Mostafa Zico and Trezeguet, scored three goals in the second half.

Zico equalized with a header from a cross by Moham Hani at the 58-minute mark. Salah then scored after exchanging passes with Zico, slotting the ball into the bottom corner, and Trezeguet secured the win with a header in the 82nd minute.

This victory marked Egypt's first win in the World Cup, while New Zealand faced its first loss in five World Cup matches. In another match, Cape Verde drew 2-2 with Uruguay, with Kevin Pina scoring the country's first-ever World Cup goal.

Uruguay responded with two goals before Cape Verde managed to equalize, maintaining an unbeaten run of five matches.
