Mustapha Salihu Declares for Adamawa Governorship Race

Mustapha Salihu, the immediate past APC National Vice Chairman for the Northeast, has formally declared his intention to contest for the governorship of Adamawa State in the 2027 elections. He submitted his nomination form ahead of the party's screening for aspirants.

Salihu expressed confidence in securing the party's ticket and emphasized the importance of preparation and opportunity in politics. He outlined his vision for Adamawa State, pledging to sustain and expand the achievements of the current administration, which he noted has completed landmark projects over the past seven years.

Salihu stressed the need for unity across ethnic and religious lines to accelerate development and bridge divides. He declined to comment on the possibility of facing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in the upcoming elections, stating that his political strategies are not publicly disclosed.
