Rani Khedira Switches National Allegiance to Tunisia

Rani Khedira, a 32-year-old defender for Union Berlin and brother of former German international Sami Khedira, has officially switched his national allegiance from Germany to Tunisia. This decision was confirmed by the Tunisian Football Association (Tunisian FA) on Wednesday.

Rani Khedira, who was born in Stuttgart, has played at the junior level for Germany but has not appeared for the senior national team. His eligibility to represent Tunisia stems from his Tunisian father.

The FIFA tribunal has approved his change of national representation. Tunisia is set to participate in the 2026 World Cup in North America, where they will compete in Group F alongside the Netherlands and Japan.
