Lagos Government Denies Health Rumors About Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos State Government has officially denied rumors suggesting that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is in poor health and has been asked to resign. In a statement issued on Monday by Gboyega Akosile, the governor's special adviser on media and public affairs, the government described the reports as false and misleading.

It emphasized that there is no basis for such claims and that no one has requested the governor's resignation. The statement reassured the public that Governor Sanwo-Olu is in good health, of sound mind, and actively fulfilling his responsibilities.

Earlier today, the governor met with his deputy, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, who paid a courtesy visit to formally notify his intent to contest in the upcoming elections.

The meeting was described as cordial, and the Lagos State Government urged the public to disregard the false reports, labeling them as fake news.
