Sanwo-Olu Celebrates Flutterwave's $50B Milestone in Lagos

During the 10th anniversary gala of Flutterwave held in Lagos, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu commended the fintech company for processing over $50 billion in transactions across 36 nations. He highlighted the critical role of Flutterwave's founder and CEO, Olugbenga Agboola, in transforming Nigeria's payment infrastructure, which has provided opportunities for young Nigerians.

Sanwo-Olu reflected on the evolution of Nigeria's telecommunications landscape and acknowledged the challenges faced in the past. He praised the leadership of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and former Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma, as well as the Lai Foundation, for enabling technological progress in the country.

The event attracted notable figures, including Dr. Cosmas Maduka, Ernest Ndukwe, and entertainers like Tiwa Savage and Omotola Jalade.

Sanwo-Olu concluded by urging continued investment in infrastructure and education to ensure that Nigeria's youth can fully realize their potential and contribute meaningfully to the country's development.
