Sanwo-Olu Supports Africa's Gaming Industry Growth

On Wednesday, during the 3rd edition of the African Game Expo held at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the state's commitment to supporting Africa's gaming industry. The expo, themed "Africa's Game Market Frontier," featured remarks from the Secretary to the State Government, Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin, who noted that the gaming sector has historically operated on the margins of the formal economy.

Salu-Hundeyin emphasized the need for a regulatory framework to enhance transparency and attract global investors. The governor highlighted the intersection of gaming with technology, digital finance, and sports as key drivers of economic growth, particularly in youth engagement.

Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Lottery Game Authority, Bashir, discussed the expo's role in positioning Africa within the global gaming ecosystem. The event aimed to boost tourism and commercial activity in Lagos, showcasing local talent to the global market.
