Sanwo-Olu Reaffirms Commitment to Vulnerable Children

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed his administration's commitment to human capital development, particularly focusing on the education, protection, and empowerment of vulnerable children. This statement was made during the commissioning of the permanent home of Dream Catchers Academy, an initiative aimed at sheltering, educating, and empowering vulnerable girls.

The governor was represented by Bolaji Ogunlende, the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, who described the new facility as a significant social intervention that would enhance the government's investment in physical infrastructure and expand opportunities for vulnerable young people. Ogunlende conveyed that Sanwo-Olu could not attend the ceremony due to an emergency but directed him to express the governor's warm regards and appreciation to the academy, its founder Ms Seyi, partners, donors, and supporters.

Sanwo-Olu remarked that the story of Dream Catchers Academy exemplifies that “impossible is nothing,” highlighting how determination, compassion, and support can transform individual visions into impactful initiatives.
